Intellectual property

The Newpress website and the Nxtbooks contain information protected by copyright, protected brands as well as other proprietary information, including texts, photographs and graphics. Newpress owns or has the authorisation to use intellectual property rights of its website and of the Nxtbook and Nxtbook Media brand as exclusive representative in France and representative in Europe. Every third party content provider owns the rights to publications in the Nxtbook format and their content. It is prohibited to alter, republish, transmit, sell, create counterfeit copies or "by-products" or to use part or all of the information on the Newpress website without the agreement of the Newpress company or of other parties owning rights to the content distributed on the Newpress website. For every copy or authorised use of the content provided by Newpress, Nxtbook Media, it is prohibited to alter the name of the authors and change protected brands. Unless otherwise authorised by Nxtbook Media, Newpress, or the authors or publishers of the publications, it is prohibited to alter, carry out "reverse engineering", sell or redistribute Nxtbook publications, nor it is allowed to agree to sell or resell a licence to use Nxtbook technology.

Third party content

Newpress is representative and reseller of the Nxtbook technology offered by Nxtbook Media LLC, a company subject to American law; Newpress is not a publisher. Consequently, Newpress has no control over the content of Nxtbook publishers. It is the sole responsibility of the publishers to ensure that they possess the rights to distribute the content that they offer within the framework of their use of Nxtbook technology. These rights must include publication of information, online, on the Internet, in an interactive format, available initially in magazines, brochures, catalogues or any other document destined for printing and publishing on paper. Newpress cannot be held responsible for the use by a publisher, in a Nxtbook, of information of whatever type and format (texts, images, photographs, etc.) in the event that the rights to this information have not been acquired by the editor(s) concerned for this specific use. On the other hand, all opinions, advice, service, offering, information or content of any kind offered in Nxtbooks, including that distributed or offered on the Newpress website, are the sole responsibility of the authors or publishers and not of Newpress. Newpress or the Nxtbook publishers offer no guarantee whatsoever for the relevance, accuracy, comprehensiveness or usefulness of Nxtbook contents. Newpress cannot be held responsible in any way for losses or damages of any kind resulting from reading the content of Nxtbooks and its use. It is the responsibility of the user to evaluate the relevance, accuracy, comprehensiveness and usefulness of the information contained in and supplied by a Nxtbook. A Nxtbook may contain links to other websites and contents belonging to a third party. Newpress and Nxtbook Media will not bear any responsibility for the communication or information available on these websites. Newpress and Nxtbook Media offer links to other websites without this constituting a recommendation or support of their content. These links are provided solely to facilitate the user.

Confidentiality

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read the Newpress confidentiality policy. This covers the processing of data gathered when you visit the website or use the services and products offered by Newpress. Newpress does not collect personal information (such as name, address of invoice or delivery, e-mail address, telephone number) or any other information that would reveal the identity of the person visiting the Newpress website. However, Newpress may obtain, via its hoster for example, anonymous data used to track audience behaviour on its website exclusively for statistical purposes. The Newpress confidentiality policy does not apply to companies not owned or controlled by Newpress, nor to individuals whom Newpress does not imply or manage. Newpress has the right to use and check the information gathered from its website and in the Nxtbooks. Newpress does not sell, share or lend this information. It uses it only in the manner described in the valid policy on confidentiality. Newpress does not gather any information on the users with the exception of:

1. Information collected through its hoster. For more information, visit the website of OVH: www.ovh.com. This information can include, for example: an IP address, the type of browser you use, a reference or keyword used to access a Newpress website.
